Many needs have to be identified in order to develop a natural standard. NSO's role is like a resource that ensures the sustainability of the natural life chain. It consists of experts who bring different chains together.
A natural standard study process is started with the determination of a demand that meets the market need for a natural life. This is then matured by the development and discussion phase.
The final stage is NCASC Committee and Board of Directors approval. With these approvals, a new NSO natural standard is born.
From inception to publication, it takes 2 or 3 years to develop a natural standard.
